Fractured Atlas is a national non-profit Arts Service Organization through which, as a Sponsored Project, Giocosa is able to receive donations, 100% tax deductible to you, to the full extent permitted by law. Giocosa has worked with Fractured Atlas for many years. They are a reliable certified Non- Profit 501©3 with the IRS: EIN(113451703). They file their Form 990, the tax return for non-profits, annually. An independent non-profit watch dog agency, Charity Navigator, gives Fractured Atlas a “100%” for the accountability and finance evaluation. This evaluation provides an assessment of a charity’s financial health (financial efficiency, sustainability and trustworthiness) and its commitment to governance practices and policies. Fractured Atlas’s has been in business since 1998. Their stated mission is “to make the journey from inspiration to living practice more accessible and equitable for artists and creatives”. By being a Sponsored Artist project, Giocosa avoids having to set up its own 501©3, saving us considerable legal and accounting expense and organizational and administrative time. In fact, creating our own non-profit would not be realistic for us. When you donate to Giocosa through Fractured Atlas, Giocosa receives 92% of what has been donated to Fractured Atlas on our behalf. The 8% fee represents Fractured Atlas' compensation for the management of the non-profit structure, and covers all administrative costs, website maintenance, credit card processing staff time and bank fees. If you choose to cover this fee, Giocosa will receive 100% of your donation. Each donation receives a receipt via email from Fractured Atlas. The receipt will be delivered to you either directly from Fractured Atlas, or forwarded to you by Giocosa, depending on the donation amount.
